Beeline Transfer
Beeline will discontinue paper transfers for Beeline to Beeline transfers on Friday, October 25, 2024. Transfers after October 25 will only be available on TAP. Cash cannot be accepted and driver cannot issue a transfer. Passengers must have a TAP card loaded with Stored Value to be able to transfer. Pay with TAP Stored Value on your first Beeline boarding, then tap again on your second Beeline boarding for a transfer. Transfer fare will automatically be deducted from Stored Value when boarding the second Beeline bus. If your first boarding is free, then you cannot get a transfer on the second boarding. Only one transfer may be purchased per paid full fare.
Beeline transfers are valid only for up to 1 hour from the first boarding. Transfers may not be used to travel in the opposite direction (i.e., Route 3 northbound to southbound). Transfers are only valid on Beeline regular routes. Transfers are not valid on Beeline express routes. Beeline transfers are not valid on Metro, LADOT, Pasadena Transit, Metrolink, or Amtrak trains.
Transfer with a paper transfer (last day for paper transfers is Friday, October 25, 2024): To transfer from one Beeline route to another Beeline route, purchase a Beeline Transfer.
- When you board the Beeline bus, please advise your bus operator that you would like to purchase a Beeline Transfer.
- Pay for your Beeline fare and the Transfer at the same time.
- The farebox will print your Transfer.
- Remove the ticket from the pass reader and store it for your transfer trip.
- When you board your next Beeline bus, insert the Transfer into the pass reader on the farebox.
Interagency Transfer (IAT)
Transfers to/from other agencies are now only on TAP. Passengers must have a TAP card loaded with Stored Value to be able to transfer. Pay with TAP Stored Value on your first boarding, then tap again on your second boarding for a transfer. Transfer fare will automatically be deducted from Stored Value when boarding the second transit agency within 2.5 hours from the first boarding. Cash is not accepted and bus operators cannot issue a transfer. If your first boarding is free then you cannot get a transfer fare on the second boarding. Free fare and Beeline pass boardings do not qualify for a transfer to another agency. If you would like to transfer from a Beeline to a Metro bus in La Canada Flintridge, you must now use your TAP card which will deduct the appropriate non-refundable full fare from Stored Value. Interagency transfers are only available on Beeline regular routes. Transfer fare is not available on Beeline express routes.
