Some of Glendale’s transportation services are available for hire from private parties. All private transportation providers must be licensed by the City of Glendale or by the State Public Utilities Commission.
All transportation providers who make passenger pick ups in Glendale will have a City of Glendale license or a CA Number displayed on their vehicle. For your safety, passengers are encouraged to only use licensed service providers.
All private transportation providers determine their own operations policies and fees for services.
Charter Bus Service
Charter bus service is licensed by the California Public Utilities Commission. Buses may be hired for special events and tours typically with a four hour minimum. Charter service for school students requires a special pupil endorsement.
A large number of companies are licensed to provide charter service in the Los Angeles area. Please consult your local phone book or query online for “Charter Bus”.
As a public transit provider, Glendale Beeline is not allowed to provide charter service.
Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
Licensed non-emergency medical transportation vehicles are identified by a Glendale decal affixed to the left rear bumper of the vehicle.
A number of non-emergency medical transportation vehicles are licensed to pick up passengers in Glendale.
